Adventure to Sydney’s Core Water Supply Warragamba Dam
Come and check out Sydney’s core water supply at Warragamba Dam.
Not only does this incredible attraction make you appreciate its significance given it supplies 80% of Sydney’s water, but at full capacity it is also four times LARGER than Sydney Harbour. Impressive!
So with the drought in full swing, there’s no better time than to visit some of Sydney’s water catchments to learn and appreciate the true value of water.
Further fun facts can be found at the Visitor Centre, which is open between 10am-4pm daily.
Access to parts of the dam wall is available on weekends and public holidays between 10am-4pm, with the exception of Christmas and Good Friday.
Otherwise the dam itself is available for viewing from 8am-5pm daily, with extended hours available during daylight savings.
Pack a picnic or invest in a delicious lunch afterwards at a nearby township.
