Beth Boyd Park Pirate Ship Playground, Thorneside
I don’t think there is a better playground view than at Beth Boyd Park in Thorneside.
Over looking Moreton Bay, the mostly shaded seaside playground features a range of play equipment for kids under 12 years old, including climbing challenges, slides, a swing set with baby and regular swings, sand scooping digger, see-saw, beach volley ball, basketball half court and a large wooden pirate ship beached on the waters shore which is definitely a highlight for imaginative Brisbane kids.
The Moreton Bay Cycleway runs through the park and is a great spot for the kids to practice riding their scooters or bikes. There’s also cafes across the road to grab a coffee or cold drink afterwards, BBQ facilites, picnic tables and drinking fountains to refill water bottles.
