Bunnings Pet Adoption Day Drive, Melbourne
On Sunday 6 October, local animal rescue organisation Second Chance Animal Rescue Group (SCAR), will be hosting a Pet Adoption Day Drive at a selection of Bunnings stores across Victoria to help rescue pets in need find their fur-ever homes.
Participating Bunnings stores are – Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Epping, Sunshine, Thomastown, Mill Park, Brunswick, Coburg, Altona, Maribyrnong.
Between 11am-2pm, Bunnings customers will be able to meet some of the adorable, and adoption-ready cats and dogs in the local area, chat to the staff at SCAR about the adoption process and buy some tasty sweets/cakes.
The adoption drive will be raising awareness of pet adoption and encouraging Australians to help a rescue pet in need. In addition, the adoption drive will be supporting the Dulux 2019 Jelly Bean initiative, running throughout Bunnings stores nationwide between 20 September – 31 October. This year, Dulux is raising money for Second Chance Animal Rescue’s new Hospital in Melbourne.
After meeting some of the adorable fur-babies looking for their new family, Bunnings customers are encouraged to head in-store to the paint aisle. When customers buy 8L of Dulux paint at Bunnings they will receive a Jelly Bean tin, inclusive of one-of-five miniature collectable Dulux dogs hidden inside. $1.00 from every Jelly Beans tin will be donated to support Dulux’s $140,000 contribution to the new animal hospital.
