Cedar Creek Falls Lookout & Rock Pools, Mt Tamborine Mountain

5

It is hard to describe the natural beauty of Cedar Creek Falls without seeing for yourself, a great outdoor adventure for Brisbane and Gold Coast families just don’t forget to bring your togs and a towel!

This flat bitumen track from the car park to the lookout is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. The lookout at the end of the walk offers very nice views of the waterfalls, cascades and a series of rock pools popular with swimmers. This walking track is ideally suitable for the young, the elderly and the disabled, providing spectacular waterfall scenery within very short walking distance.

To access the swimming holes and falls from the lookout, the walk starts to the right (about 1.1km return – 30min) there are many steps on this part of the track through a eucalypt forest, so be prepared for an uphill climb on your return possibly with a child on your shoulders too.

Once at the bottom of the falls and rock pools care needs to be taken as these rocks can be slippery. Jumping from the cliffs is strictly prohibited, due to submerged rocks and other hazards and just a warning the water can be quiet cold, even in the peak of summer.
