Crawley Edge Boatshed aka The Little Blue Boathouse, Swan River
The historic Crawley Edge Boatshed is a small timber pier and boathouse built in the early 1930’s, located on the banks of Matilda Bay on the Swan River at Crawley.
The popular tourist attraction has been fondly named the ‘Blue Boathouse’ since the hashtag #blueboathouse went viral with selfies standing in front of the now iconic landmark.
The charming photo spot would make the perfect family photo backdrop especially at sunrise and sunset, but please expect a waiting crowd when you arrive and to queue patiently for your turn.
Getting there and the car parking situation can also be a headache for parents, as the boatshed is actually situated right next to the major highway, we recommend parking in one of the nearby residential streets (please obey street signage rules) and take extra care (particularly with children) crossing busy Mounts Bay Road.
Happy snapping! and don’t forget to share and tag us in your family pics.
