Woollahra Library at Double Bay (Double Bay Library)
The newly renovated Double Bay Library is a delight for all the senses. As you enter the library, you are welcomed into the bright, vibrant and interactive zone designed for all children. The concept behind the theme is “a garden within a library”.
It includes a wet area for art and craft, a beautiful tropical mural designed by Mulga, soft natural throw cushions, a spiral slide (slide times do apply), private nooks in every spare space of the library, easy access book shelves for children to browse sorted in fun categories, interactive tv’s, interactive iPad play, computer lab, outdoor seating, hanging gardens and interactive floor projections.
It is a beautifully lit area, where you can easily find a quiet space to read with your young one. But be warned, the slide is a hit with all children and there is plenty of shenanigans to be had.
The library also offers children’s rhyme time and story time, sessions are ticketed on a first come, first serve basis, timetable below.
