Ferndale Park Playground & Glen Iris Pantry Cafe, Glen Iris

One of our favourite playgrounds in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, Ferndale Park is a peaceful tree filled park with The Ferndale trail walking path running through the reserve, linking the Gardiners Creek and Anniversary trails.

The timber playground sits on the hill over looking the sporting ground and features slides, cubby house, bridges, multiple swings including the fun parent and child expression swing, fireman’s pole, giant climbing rope pyramid, sand pit and monkey bars.

What really gets mum excited to adventure to Ferndale Park is the Glen Iris Pantry Cafe across the road, serving take away coffee, snacks, breakfast, lunch and take home meals, there’s also barbecue facilities back at the park, public automated toilets and a cricket/football oval to have a kick.

This park has everything for the perfect lazy Sunday family outing.
