Harold Park Playground, Forest Lodge
Harold Park Playground in Forest Lodge sits on what use to be a racecourse, now transformed into a fabulous children’s adventure playground and recreation park.
The play space is designed to reflect its surrounding environment, with a main stacked timber play frames, featuring climbing challenges and metal tunnel slides. There’s a number of nature elements such a fallen logs and stones to balance and climb all over, a timber tee pee cubby house, a huge sand pit (bring your own toys, buckets and spades) balancing beams and swing set including a basket swing, baby and regular seat swings.
A series of sealed pedestrian and bike friendly pathways and bridges connect the park so would make a great safe place for young riders learning to ride a bike or scooter to practice their skills.
There’s also grassy lawns, barbecue facilities and shaded picnic tables for Sydney families to make a full day out at Harold Park, but unfortunately the closest toilets are located at the nearby Tramsheds where you can also get a bite to eat and take away coffee.
