Highfield Park Playground, Camberwell
Highfield Park is a castle fort themed playground located in Melbourne’s eastern suburb of Camberwell.
As you enter the fenced playground a large sculptural Dragon sits guarding the play space, my kids kept calling it a dinosaur but the dragon wing shade sail above gave it away, he/she is in fact a Dragon! Kids can play hide and seek in the tail tunnel or use the body frame as monkey bars, he was a real hit with all my kids.
The main play structure is made up of two timber castle forts with easy stair access to a double racer toddler slide, activity wall panels, elevated rope bridge, underneath cubby house with seating and pretend play shop front, tunnel and a two metre high tube slide.
Surrounding play equipment includes a spinning carousel, flying fox, climbing frame and swing set, with two regular seats, one baby seat and a expression swing (those fancy new adult and toddler seat combinations in one).
There’s a drinking fountain, picnic tables, barbecue facilities to use, sports oval and cafe close by on Highfield Road for take away coffee also.
