Hill ‘n’ Dale Park BMX Bike Track, Glen Iris
Hill ‘n’ Dale Park features a BMX bike track, walking and cycling trails that connect to nearby Summerhill Park, Ferndale Park, Back Creek Reserve and Gardiners Creek.
Located in the leafy eastern suburb of Glen Iris, Hill ‘n’ Dale is situated down an embankment from the road making it safe for all skill levels, young and old.
The track is mainly designed for BMX bike riders but on our visit there were families with children as young as two years on balance bikes, scooters and skateboards. The kids liked this track better than others because its concreted instead of a dirt track, Mum isn’t too sure which is safer but it definitely felt like the kids would do less damage here than at others we’ve seen.
The concrete track is made up of two rides one smaller track with multiple small bumps and another for more experienced riders with higher jump boxes
Parents can park themselves on a shaded bench seat amongst tall trees or watch on from the grassy lawn. There’s a drinking fountain and if the kids want burn some more energy ride further down the track to Ferndale Park playground.
No toilets unfortunately at Hill ‘n’ Dale Park BMX Bike Track. And don’t forget the helmets!
