John French Memorial Park ‘Pirate Ship’ Playground, Gaythorne

John French Memorial Park is a nautical themed playground, in Gaythorne. If you have a little sailor in the family be sure to add this one to your weekend fun list to do.

We went on a cloudy Sunday which made for a perfect morning for us to go and check it out, anytime we discover a new Playscape Creations Playground upgrade you just know it will be worth a visit. Its only a small park, but packed full of pirate adventures. The centrepiece to this gem is the ship themed play structure to engage little imaginations, complete with sails, rope climbing ladders to the boats deck and portholes for keeping a look out for pirates. The boat also features interactive wall play boards, under desk cubby house and slippery dip slide if kids need to jump ship quickly!

Surrounding the playground is a nest swing and lovely grassy lawn area to kick a ball or picnic on and watch the kids afar.
