Kid Friendly Base Walk at Ayers Rock, the Mala Walk Uluru

4

Visit the Mala Walk for a gentle kid friendly walk at the base of Ayers Rock. The track goes from the Mala carpark to Kantju Gorge, a peaceful stopping place at the end of the trail surrounded by the vertical walls of the rock.

Along this walk you will see ancient campsites, caves, examples of Aboriginal rock art and discover how Anangu lived daily life.

The pathway is un sealed but smooth enough for prams. It’s the same path taken by the daily free ranger-guided Mala walk and most tours of Uluru, so can be busy with groups of people early morning and late afternoon.
