MoPA Museum of Play and Art, Geelong
Museum of Play and Art, or MOPA, is Geelong’s first Children’s Museum, located in the historic Wintergarden Building in McKillop Street. It’s a unique space for families featuring fully immersive exhibits to experience and play together.
The space is inspired by some of the best Children’s Museums around the world, offering both indoor and outdoor play spaces, a cafe and amazing educators that interact with the children to ensure they get the most out of their experience at MOPA, Museum of Play and Art.
Some of the play zones include soft play areas designed to support the development of a toddler’s fine-motor skills, sunset city (for the bigger kids), which rewards little climbers with an impressive view over the entire museum, a wind wall, zoom room filled with LEGO® bricks that children can build with and race down giant ramps and jumps, and the MoPA Art Car that allows children to layer their art creations on a real VW bug.
To ensure every visitor’s experience is comfortable, entry numbers are limited and families are advised to book online in advance, where they can choose to arrive in the morning, at midday or during the afternoon sessions.
MOPA, Museum of Play and Art also offer children’s birthday parties, Memberships & Gift Cards.
Open 9.30am-4.30pm every day except Monday.
