Morialta Conservation Park Adventure Playground, Woodforde
Morialta Conservation Park Adventure Playground is Adelaide’s best nature playground, yes thats right i said it, and could possibly be the most imaginative nature based play space in the whole of Australia.
Located just 10km from the Adelaide city centre, the playground is set amid amid the Morialta Conservation Park’s bush walking, mountain biking, waterfalls and rock climbing trails.
There are five play areas to explore inspired by nature and indigenous culture, kids can explore giant nests at different heights at the Birds Nest area, climb boulders and tree branches, discover an Aboriginal fire pit at Frog Island, find the secret tunnel at the huge timber Great Snake and reach new heights at Eagle’s Perch mega tunnel slide. There’s also a rocky creek to dip the toes, what kid can resist water play? Good idea to pack a change of clothes and spare towel too.
There’s plenty of shade from surrounding mature trees, toilets, lots of grassy areas to pop down a picnic rug down or make use of one of the barbecue facilities and picnic tables for full family day out in the great outdoors.
