Mornington Park Pirate Playground, Mornington

5

Mornington Park is one of the best playgrounds on the Mornington Peninsula coast for families, located at the end of Main Street Mornington right before heading to Mothers Beach and Mornington Pier is where you will find it.

The nautical themed playground is a hard one to miss from parking the car on the street, with a huge timber pirate ship the highlight. Kids can climb aboard the life size wooden boat walk the plank, steer the helm or hide out in the cubby below deck. Other surrounding play equipment includes multiple swings, slides, monkey bars, small flying fox, climbing challenges and musical instruments.

Within the park there are barbecue facilities, picnic tables, water fountains, open lawns to kick and ball or fly a kite in the sea breeze and toilets, plus you’ll find fish and chips and plenty of cafes across the road up Main Street.

Her favourite places to visit are kid friendly art exhibits, adventure playgrounds and cafes with play areas.
