Take an enchanting stroll through Peter Rabbit’s Garden in Hobart and see Mr. McGregor and the story of Peter Rabbit unfold, along with many other of your favourite Beatrix Potter characters.

The Peter Rabbit Garden has been created from the inspiration of the many Beatrix Potter illustrations from the original Peter Rabbit Books, sketches, letters and journals.

As you wander through the garden the story of Peter Rabbit unfolds, and you will see the characters from the Peter Rabbit story, some of which will be animated to enhance your enjoyment. The garden will delight your imagination as you see familiar characters , such as Peter Rabbit,  his sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail along with Old Mother Rabbit. You will See Mr. McGregor’s garden and Peter eating French radishes! Throughout the garden, there are story-boards with the Peter Rabbit story and many other interesting botanical facts about the plants which can be found in the storybooks. The climbers, herbs, shrubs, perennials and trees are named from the different Beatrix Potter story books.

Other characters that pop up in the garden include Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mr. Tod, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Benjamin Bunny and many others!

You will enjoy your time exploring The Peter Rabbit Garden, as you recognise the reconstruction of the scenes from the story and have little difficulty in finding your way around it! Beyond the garden is a backdrop of a woodland, where the rabbits lived!

The gardens are enchanting and the children will love playing along the paths and discovering the characters hidden between the flowers. After the lovely stroll through the gardens, enjoy a lovely high tea in the Riverdale Estate.
