River Heart Parklands
On the banks of The Bremer River sits River Heart Parklands (also known as Bob Gamble Park). The fantastic playground involves a zero depth water section, a rainforest with hidden climbing forts, a flying fox, jumping blocks over a zero depth “river”, climbing ropes up to a slide, swings and a rope rocking swing.
There is ample seating and shaded spaces dotted amongst the play area, including picnic areas and BBQ facilities. The toilets are also well maintained.
River Heart Parklands is right at the end of the river walk which starts from the car park under the rail bridge at Bremmer Rd. The walk way is wheelchair and pram friend, right along the river bank. Along the walk you will see a man-made waterfall, a rainforest, historical references and plaques, and (if you go of a nighttime) there is creatures illuminated along the way.
