Sub Base Platypus Park North Sydney


The first stage of the Sub Base Platypus Renewal Project located in North Sydney was completed and open to the public from Thursday 17 May, 2018.

The NEW waterfront Park includes a new waterside walk connecting to Kesterton Park & playground and North Sydney Ferry Wharf, and a new submarine themed playground, BBQ and picnic area. The playgrounds include swings, slides, climbing equipment, merry-go-round and balance equipment. The Submarine playground includes climbing equipment & stairs, a nautical (NATO) alphabet, speaker phones and so much more. The parks are surrounded by beautiful gardens (perfectly shaded too) and a perfect view of the harbour.

Entrance is from Kiara Close and Kesterton Park, note the Kiara Close entrance has a set of stairs.

Sub Base Platypus is open daylight hours from sunrise to sunset.
