The Big Prawn Statue, Ballina

Australia’s Big Things are a Aussie icon, as much as the phrase “Put another shrimp on the barbie” and no family road trip across the northern New South Wales coast would be complete without seeing The Big Prawn at Ballina.

You can hardly miss the statue driving into Ballina, located adjacent to Ballina Bunnings standing at 9 metres high and weighing 35 tonne. Built in 1989 The Big Prawn has undergone a makeover over the years to be the eye catching crustacean it is today.

The Big Prawn is available for public viewing (and photos) at all hours of the day and night.
