The kids will love the nautical themed playground that sits on the banks of Tygum Lagoon, the highlight is the pirate ship shaped play structure complete with sails, flags, dual helms to steer the boat, tunnel slide and crawling tunnel under deck. Other surrounding playground includes swings, spinning seats, basketball half court and 6m high rope climbing tower that resembles a crows nest with different heights, ladders, ropes and chimneys.
Continue your sea adventure to the lagoon jetty pontoon where you spot some local resident ducks, geese, swans, pelicans and many other species of bird life. The Logan City Marine Modellers also regularly sail remote control model ships and electric boats on the lagoon, check their Facebook page for run days.
If the kids want to stretch their legs you can walk, scoot or ride around the lagoon which is a less than 2km loop track or test out your skills at the BMX skate park.
