Warburton Road Reserve Playground, Canterbury
Love a local park that gives you the warm and fuzzies as soon as you arrive, not sure if its the welcoming white picket fence or that there is something for all ages here, but Warburton Road Reserve in Melbourne’s East gave me just that on our visit.
The playground is mostly fenced (fully gated off from the main road, access still to the walking trail) and offers so many play activities, my kids didn’t know where to start.
Play equipment includes a pretend play cubby ‘Sullivan’s’ house, monkey bars, climbing challenges, balancing obstacles, crawling tunnels, interactive wall panels, four child see-saw, two swings (infant and regular) plus a basket hammock swing, car frame complete with drivers steering wheel, multiple slides and a hard to find spinning whizzy dizzy my big kids loved (they are becoming extinct at playgrounds).
Only down side to this playground is that there are no toilets, but plenty of bench seating and a couple of picnic tables for you to invite your friends and family to.
