Warburton Water World Community Recreation Precinct, Warburton
We know our outer East families love a bit of water play, you may be far from the beach, but you sure are spoilt for choice when it comes to free water parks, there’s the Lilydale Lake Playspace, Seville Water Play Park and now the Warburton Water World for Melbourne kids to enjoy in the warmer months.
The new recreation precinct replaces a dilapidated olympic swimming pool and is now the largest FREE waterplay splash pad in the whole of Victoria, WOWEE! The themed splash pad area includes bubbling rocks, spraying cannons, sprinkler ferns, a fallen log water slide and a water dumping bucket.
When the weather isn’t hot enough to get wet though there’s a 10 metre high mega treehouse tower with a birds eye view over the park, connecting curly tunnel slides, climbing platforms and a 20m long elevated adventure course with ropes, balancing beams and bridges.
There is a pre-schooler area with a toddler basket swing, traditional timber play equipment with slide and bridges, balance beams, musical chime instruments and pretend play train with another small slide and crawl space inspired by the historical logging and train line that once moved through Warburton.
BBQ area and picnic shelter, fitness station and toilet block can be found within Warburton Water World too.
