Western Districts Live steamers are open on most Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. No trains will run the long weekend in October and in January. It is a mandatory requirement that all intending passengers must wear enclosed footwear i.e. No open toed shoes, no sandals, no thongs or bare feet will at any time be permitted on the trains.
