WetSide Water Education Park, Hervey Bay
WetSide is a fun, free, eco-friendly public water park designed around water ‘infotainment’. WetSide was created by Water Bay Water Corporation for residents and tourists to learn about water and its sustainable use.
The park includes a huge zero depth water jet splash zone, mini water slides with tipping bucket, fountain Light Show on Saturday nights at 7pm, there’s a special area for under 5s called TotSide and two water slides for older kids over 120cm tall (tickets additional).
The park is fully fenced from the beach and surrounding roads making if very safe to let kids explore (supervision still required at all times of course) there’s plenty of seating and tables in all areas and a fish and chip shop and cafe on site too, so Mum and Dad can relax watching on with a coffee in hand.
WetSide is smoke and alcohol-free. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or pets are allowed. No running in the park. Additionally, WetSide may close for reasons including private functions, extreme weather and maximum capacity crowds.
Opening hours:
